A day at the doctors

So I'm finally taking the step to have my skin tags removed and my upper lip and chin lasered. I spent a total of 600,000 won on both treatments. Before you go all postal on me, know what was done. I had 8 skin tags on my neck removed and cauterized. I had the hair on my lip, chin and neck lasered off. It was a LOT cheaper than if I were to have these procedures done in America. They also gave me topical cream for after the procedure. In America I would've had to pay for that. I got it for free here.
The doctors office was very clean and modern. The doctor, Julius Jon, was trained in America and is AAAD certified.
They work on a lot of foreigners here in Korea so the doctors and nurses speak really good English. I am very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend this clinic.

Yeouido Cherry Blossom Festival

I met up with Lindsey Fendrich for the Cherry Blossom festival on April 13th. I bought We walked around for a bit. Her friends came with us. They were so sweet. Sam is a guy who lives on Osan Air Base. He lives the closest to me. Jenny and Jeff are a couple . She's from Ansan and he's from Bundong. (I don't know if that's spelled right) :-) Shalita is a gal pal also from Ansan. She is hilarious. She tried to approach a Korean lady without scaring her to ask if she'd take a picture of us. The Korean lady's friend ran away shrieking. We all admitted to Shalita that it looked like she was stalking the woman. The festival was outside and the day was gorgeous. It was amazing weather. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The blossoms were not yet mature, but it was still beautiful and fun.
After the festival, I met David Ege for dinner.

Girl's Glam Night Out

In Korea there's a strange holiday called White Day. As you know Valentines Day falls on February 14. White Day is like Valentines Day but a month later. So it falls on March 14. In Asia, women give men chocolate on Valentines Day. They must wait one month until it is reciprocated. That's right! Men give the women candy on White Day!
Well, as a foreigner in Korea, White Day is a foreign concept. So I'm not sure that I like this particular Asian holiday. It's just another day to feel alone and single. Or so I thought. Thank God for Amy Berezowski-Kim! She is the founder of Flipside Fitness. It's the best gym in Cheonan. In the past, she has arranged for women from her gym to get together for a White Day celebration. She reserves a room at a five star restaurant and then we all go there to eat together. Of course being Amy it's not just showing up to eat. Amy had christened it Girls' Glam Night. So Glam means that we gotta dress up. So I ordered a dress. I did my makeup. I did my hair...50's style. But I still wore my converse shoes. I gotta remain true to myself somehow. The night was a blast. Part of the fun was that we had to bring a date. A female date. Well, my date was a blind date. She was a fun gal named Lee Ellen Johnson. She was so much fun! I was seated next to Eve and Jocelyn. We had a blast bonding, eating and becoming better friends. I am so grateful that Amy gave me the opportunity to be a part of this fun night. Thank God for Flipside Fitness!

M Pasta

There's a hidden treasure in Baebang. It's M Pasta! An Italian restaurant that serves pizza, pasta and salads is hidden away in the back streets of Baebang. It has been around since 2009. It's owner loves her job of serving others. The chef prepares each meal individually. It's fresh, delicious food. If you get the chance, go visit the restaurant!

Hoseo English Camp

So I taught at an English Camp this winter. About 225 4-6th graders from Cheonan and Asan joined us on campus during their winter break. Look at the pictures and videos. We all had a blast. I taught E-3 class. In the concept basic learning class I taught them how to bake cookies. I taught them western measuring units for baking. (Cups not milliliters) they had so much fun. I was also one of the judges for the talent show. Even the TAs danced. They are in the orange hoodies. I got really sick halfway through camp, thus the gross throat picture.
